1. Your account & usage
By generating, uploading, or selling music on SonicStu you agree to these Terms. You confirm you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that any material you submit (including prompts, lyrics, vocal references, and uploaded audio) does not infringe the rights of any third party.
2. Ownership of generated content
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you own the rights to the music you generate on SonicStu. You may use it for personal and commercial purposes, including release on streaming services, sync, and resale through our Marketplace. SonicStu retains a non-exclusive license to host, cache, and transcode your tracks for the purpose of operating the service.
3. Marketplace & 10% SonicStu commission
SonicStu collects a flat 10% commission on every sale completed through the Marketplace. Sellers receive 90% of the listed price, paid out via Stripe Connect. The commission is deducted automatically at the time of sale; sellers do not need to remit anything separately.
- Buyer prices are set by the seller (with a $5 minimum).
- Guest single-track purchases (no account required) are priced at $10 (MP3) and $20 (WAV) per track.
- Payouts settle to the seller's connected Stripe account on Stripe's standard payout schedule. Stripe processing fees are deducted from the seller's 90% share by Stripe, not by SonicStu.
- Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes are handled by Stripe. If a sale is refunded, SonicStu's commission is also refunded to the buyer.
4. Seller obligations
By listing a track for sale you represent that you are the rightful owner of all underlying material, that the track does not contain unlicensed samples, vocals, or third-party intellectual property, and that you will respond to legitimate takedown requests within 7 days.
5. Buyer rights
A purchase grants the buyer a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use the track in their own creative projects, including commercial works. Re-sale, re-distribution as a stand-alone sound asset, or use in AI training datasets is not permitted without an additional license.
6. Prohibited content
You may not generate or list content that is hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, intentionally deceptive (deepfakes of identifiable persons without consent), or that violates applicable law. SonicStu may remove any track and suspend any account that violates these rules.
7. Refunds & takedowns
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase. SonicStu will mediate disputes between buyers and sellers and may issue refunds at its discretion when content infringes third-party rights or materially differs from its listing.
8. Service changes
SonicStu may update pricing, features, or these Terms with reasonable notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranty. SonicStu's aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.
