AI Ethics
SonicStu is built on the conviction that AI music tools should empower creators — not exploit them. These are the principles that guide every model, every feature, and every payout.
1. Transparent model sourcing
SonicStu routes generation through multiple licensed engines (including Suno, Google's Lyria, and Meta's MusicGen). We disclose which engine produced each track in your dashboard.
2. Voice cloning consent
You may only clone a voice if you (a) own it, (b) have explicit written permission from the voice owner, or (c) it is in the public domain. We do not allow cloning of identifiable artists without consent and remove infringing content within 24 hours of a verified report.
3. Creator compensation
The SonicStu marketplace pays creators 90% of every sale — among the highest revenue shares in the industry. We are working on royalty programs for artists whose styles materially influence generated outputs.
4. Content safety
We block prompts that target real people without consent, generate hate speech, or attempt to impersonate copyrighted material. Detected violations are removed and repeat offenders are banned.
5. Opt-out
Your generated audio is never used to train our models without explicit opt-in. Community-shared tracks may participate in optional training programs which you can leave at any time.
6. Ongoing dialogue
AI ethics is a moving target. We publish updates to this page whenever our policies change, and we welcome input from artists, rights holders and listeners at ethics@sonicstu.com.
